Karpaka Vinayakar Temple is a famous rock cut temple of Lord Ganesha located at Pillaiyarpatti in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, India. Also known as Pillaiyarpatti Pillaiyar Temple, the shrine enshrines a 6 feet tall bas-relief carved out of an excavated cave. The idol of Lord Ganesh is enshrined in Valampuri posture facing north, the direction of Lord Kubera. It is believed that worshiping Valampuri Ganapati (trunk curled towards his right) is very beneficial for attaining wealth and prosperity.

The temple has a Lord Shiva shrine where Mahadev is worshiped as Arjunapureeswarar. Lord Ganapati is locally known here as Desi Vinayaka Pillaiyar. Here Ganesha idol is seen with two hands only in meditation posture with Shiva Lingam at his right hand. Hence Ganesha is also called Yoga Vinayagar. It is believed that Kubera, the God of Wealth, has worshiped Pillayar at this place. The sculpture of Pasupatheeswarar – a cow worshipping Lord Shiva linga by offering its milk – is another special feature of the temple.
