Suvannamaccha was the daughter of Ravana, the King of Lanka. She is tried to spoil Hanuman’s plans to build a bridge to Lanka, but falls in love with him instead. When Ravana saw Hanuman’s Vanaras building a causeway using stones over the sea, he instructed Suvannamaccha to stop it somehow. Suvannamaccha was unaware of the purpose of stopping the construction of causeway.
When Hanuman met Suvannamaccha, he told her why he was building the causeway. He told her of the abduction of Sita Devi and Rama- Ravana war. They parted as lovers part but it was not to be the end for them. Hanuman had left a seed with Suvannamaccha. Suvannamaccha later gave birth to a son named Macchanu.
